Enjoy flavors and knowledge. In 1920, Ernest Guillet, a passionate nougatier, created La Nougaterie du Roy René in Aix, a small confectioner's workshop in the purest Provençal tradition. Since then, the confectionery industry, which has inherited it, has been perpetuating the expertise of nougats from Provence, calissons from Aix and a multitude of other sweets. For knowledge, the Calisson Museum offers, 10 minutes from the center, to discover the history of the Provence almond and the famous delicacy in a contemporary space combining period tools and new technologies with large windows overlooking the manufacturing workshops.
Visits to the museum are free and free, or guided for a more complete discovery at a low price.
